What do minis do in gw2
They are often referred to as miniature pets , minipets by "Devotion" , or minis for short. They are not capable of attacking or interacting with other game elements in any way. They are mainly for show and are mostly used by ArenaNet as a means of rewarding a player's achievements or dedication to the game.
Miniatures are "taken out" or summoned by double-clicking the miniature icon in your character 's inventory. The miniature will appear and start to move around your character, running towards your character if they move too far away.
To "put away" or dismiss it, double-click the miniature icon again. If you summon another miniature or move to another instance , the previously summoned miniature is automatically dismissed. Miniatures are silent in guild halls , outposts , and towns , but may make sound effects similar to the actual NPCs that they represent while not in a guild hall, outpost nor town.
Miniatures can be displayed in the "Devotion" monument in the Hall of Monuments. This dedication process is irreversible: once added to a character's monument, that particular miniature cannot be undedicated or dedicated for any other character. However, dedicated miniatures can be traded to and summoned by other characters. Miniatures cannot be sold to merchants. Undedicated miniatures are generally in high demand, since players earn points at the Hall of Monuments Reward Calculator for each distinct miniature they dedicate.
Certain popular dedicated miniatures can also fetch high prices. Characters reaching 12 months of age will receive an unopened Birthday Present in their inventory, which will contain one of the following miniatures:. Burning Titan Charr Shaman Kirin. Prince Rurik Shiro. Bone Dragon. Characters reaching 24 months of age will receive an unopened second-year present in their inventory, which will contain one of the following miniatures:.
Good thing they introduced it with ls4ep2, and I'm using it since. I really like the design of the hydra with its' different heads with the 3 different elements. I like the Aurene minis. She used to be so cute. You can bet all my characters are going to have the festive Aurene active for the next month.
The only flying minis I have tried are the Mini Spooky Ghost, and the floating dragon people get at the start of the game. More birds is something I will definitely try in the future though. I'm yet to complete any minis that combine into other minis.
It's fairly straight-forward, although it can be expensive. I recommend waiting until near the end of Wintersday as the minis will go down in price as more people open gifts assuming of course they still drop from gifts this year - if not then earlier is better. I use different minis depending on what I find fitting for the character and mood e. I have a few golemancer asura that run around with golemancer runes, racial golem skills, and golem backpack, of course they need a golem mini to round out the set ; , but my personal favourite mini is the mini snowman, as that was a gift from a good friend when it was fairly new.
I love the wolf even if it isn't a very useful elite skill, and I'd love to have a mini of it. Every so often I forget that there isn't one and go to equip it, then go to find out why I haven't got it yet and where it comes from, then get disappointed all over again when I remember it doesn't exist.
For my human dragonhunter I love to use the Mini Svelicht Raven because it's shiny You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Sign up for a new account in our community. It's easy! Already have an account?

Scammers always say that. Gives you one of the exotics each time. Does it still work with recent updates? The mini ice imp looks exactly like the mini storm imp.. Am I missing something?
